The Navajo Nation Zoo hosted its " 34th Birthday Celebration on July 2, 2011. We held this celebration to honor the Zoo's presence at the Tse Bonito Park for 34 years, and to say 'thanks' to our visitors. This was also a Pre-4th-of-July Celebration to honor our Nation's holiday.

We celebrated this holiday by providing free hot dogs, birthday cake and cold drinks to all visitors on July 2. Zoo staff provided all the cooking and serving to over 800 visitors between 10am and 2pm. We even had the crowd sing a hearty 'Happy Birthday" to the Navajo Zoo during the lunch hour.

As further entertainment, a D.J. was on-hand providing tunes, while SuperFun brought an inflatable jumphouse with slide. We received many thanks from the patrons, and were glad everyone had a great time! And we thank Lowe's Grocery Store in Window Rock for donating 500 hot dogs to the event.
